When you finally decide that you are ready to conceive a child, doing so generally takes about 3-6 months for the vast majority of couples. Once it does finally happen and you become pregnant, there are a lot of exciting things that begin happening to you.
Apart from the pure joy of knowing that you have a child growing inside of you, here are a few things that are the best parts about being pregnant.
Sharing the News
One of the most obvious joys about being pregnant is the opportunity to share the wonderful news with the important people in your life. Give your loved ones a call and let them know that your family is about to grow by one, and then make a Facebook post and watch the likes and loving comments roll in.
Your Hair Improves
While there are many unfortunate effects that pregnancy has on your body, there are also some really good ones. One of these physical benefits that pregnancy brings is improving your hair. Women all want to have luxurious and soft hair, but accomplishing that can often be a difficult task with all the time and products that it can require.
Luckily, once you become pregnant, your body’s natural hormones start to adjust in a way that greatly improves the look and overall health of your hair.
You Get to Eat More
Many women, unfortunately, force themselves to restrictive diets and low-calorie intakes to try and avoid weight gain in their day-to-day lives. However, when you become pregnant, you get to throw this all out the window, as it is recommended that pregnant women get an extra 300 calories a day.
While you can’t just eat whatever you want whenever you want, because your baby still needs a healthy diet to get the proper level of nutrients, it does mean that you do not have to, and shouldn’t, let yourself go hungry while pregnant.
Intercourse Improves
It is no secret that your sex life greatly changes when you become pregnant, and luckily many of the changes are positive ones.
Two of the main benefits of your new sex life is that for many people, their libido increases and there is increased blood flow to your genital area, which increases sensitivity. Everyone’s experience is different, but for many pregnant women, sex becomes more frequent and enjoyable.
If you want to learn more about how pregnancy can affect your life, then talk to an experienced gynecologist as soon as possible.
